The Parochial Church Council
The main decision-making body at St. Mary’s is the Parochial Church Council or PCC. Some members of the PCC, such as the Rector, Churchwardens and Deanery/Diocesan Synod Representatives have automatic membership, whilst the remaining members are elected, normally for a period of three years. The role of the PCC is to share with the Rector and Churchwardens in seeking a vision under God for mission and ministry within the parish, and to work towards achieving that vision.
