Christian Unity

Jesus prayed that his followers ‘might be one’. St. Mary’s is committed to working towards a future of ever greater unity between Christians of different traditions. As part of our commitment to this ecumenical vision, we are active members of Churches Together in Botttesford. Opportunities for sharing in worship, study and fellowship are organised throughout the year (e.g. Remembrance Sunday; Methodist Covenant Service; Good Friday Procession; Lent Course; Christian Aid Week).

 

BOTTESFORD FRIENDSHIP GROUPS

 

 

  • FRIENDSHIP GROUP   :    Fortnightly on Thursdays – 2.30pm Methodist Chapel Hall

50p/£1 per session

                                Programme available

 

  • TEA & CAKES              :    St Mary’s Church – First Tuesday of the month

 2.30 – 4.00pm Free

 

  • CHAPEL CAFÉ         :     Methodist Chapel Hall – Last Saturday of the month

                         10am – 12noon   Free

 

  • WARWICK FLATS        :     Coffee mornings Tuesday and Thursdays

                                         10–11am at Warwick Flats, Granby Drive

 

  • WHIST DRIVE             :     The Fuller Rooms (next to the Library) 7.30pm weekly

                                                   £2.00 (to include free Xmas lunch)

 

  • GAMES AFTERNOON:    Weekly Thursday 2pm-4pm The Fuller Rooms

                                                                 – U3A/55+  £1.50 per session  Membership: £12 per annum

 

  • HISTORY SOCIETY        :      2nd Tuesday monthly 7.30pm in the Village Hall

£2.50 on the door for guests. September to May

 

  • WOMEN’S INSTITUTE:    3rd  Tuesday monthly 7.30pm in the Village Hall

                                          Guests £3.50 (women only)

 

  • BOTTESFORD LIBRARY:   Drop-in Coffee morning first Thursday of the month

                          9.30am to 12.30pm at the Library

                                                                                   Drinks £1 from the coffee machine

 

  • HULLABALOO                :    Weekly Thursday 9.30am to 11.30am at the Methodist Chapel,

                                                     Café and play space for parents / carers of babies and toddlers,

                                                                        £1 per family. Term time only

 

  • LITTLE ANGELS              :     Tuesday mornings weekly during term time, 10-12 at St Mary’s

                                                                          Church, for parents / carers of babies, toddlers and

                                                                             pre-school children, £1 per family inc. drink and snacks
