St John the Baptist, Muston is our sister church just under two miles away. St John's has a regular committed congregation of 10 people; many of whom are PCC members. There are three services monthly; 8.30am BCP said Communion services on the first and third Sundays, with a lively family service at 10.30am on second Sundays led by lay leader, Peter Daniel. On alternate fifth Sundays, the congregation from St Mary’s come to St John’s for a joint service of Holy Communion (CW).
Throughout the year, church festivals are celebrated at Easter, Harvest, Remembrance and Christmas. The Carol service and Christingle are particularly well attended. On average there is one baptism, one wedding and two funerals a year.
