Our magnificent church building is first and foremost the house of God and home to His church, and it is this ‘life of St. Mary’s’ that we have endeavoured to describe on this website. However, we are very aware and proud of the fact that St. Mary’s has considerable historical and architectural significance, and that this rich heritage attracts many visitors to our Church. With this ’tourist dimension’ in mind, we have recently produced a ‘Visitor Guide’ for all those who would like to know more about our fascinating history - this can be purchased from Church for £3.50.
Fantastic news for St Mary's. We have been awarded a grant from LPOW - this means that the urgent repairs to the roof in the Lady Chapel can now go ahead. Watch this space for updates.
